6-26-2018 Non Compliance

On 6/26 approximately 5pm the Beaverton van was set up on SW Canyon Lane and was out of compliance. By our estimate the sign was set up at over 575 yards from the van. Well beyond the allowed 400 yards. Posted speed is 40mph.

A little editorial; In addition to that the way in which it was tucked in tightly to the bushes shows intent of concealment. We have been told it’s a deterrent not a trap.

Oregon Cities Not Filing Photo Radar Reports

According to NWWatchdog.org several oregon cities have been just ignoring Oregon’s red-light camera laws. Why is it that the laws only apply to the citizens and not to the municipalities that are generating revenue from the laws?

Municipalities that run photo enforcement programs are required by ORS to report by March 1st on odd numbered years. “(5) The department shall report to the Legislative Assembly by March 1 of each odd-numbered year.” According to NWWatchdog.org the city of Medford hasn’t filed the necessary reports to the State. It was originally reported that Newberg hadn’t filed either, but apparently have now filed the reports and are working on their 2013 report.

For the Medford residents that want to fight your red-light tickets, present to the Judge that the city isn’t complying with State Law.

SW Hall Blvd 1/11/12 Sign down

On 1/11/12 during the last shift (7-10 PM) located on SW Hall Blvd north bound between SW 12th & SW 9th the warning sign was not in compliance with ORS 810.4382eC (Sign not two feet above ground).
The sign is posted, albeit not very visible or facing traffic. Not saying that this was done intentionally, it was VERY windy.

If you did get a ticket there at that time; Make sure you go back and check these things and take pictures. If you didn’t happen to go back, here’s a picture of the sign being down.
