In Beaverton Red Means Stop, Even Right Turns

Right turn monitoring at Beaverton intersections has gone live! Beginning February 1, 2011, illegal right turns on red (such as rolling stops) will be enforced with the existing red light cameras. In addition to the infractions currently enforced at Photo Red Light intersections drivers who don’t come to a complete stop before turning right will issued a citation when caught by the cameras. $382.00 is the fine for running a red light in Beaverton.

These intersections include are:
Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy and Griffith Drive
Hall Blvd and Scholls Ferry Rd
Cedar Hills Blvd and Walker Rd
Allen Blvd and Lombard Ave.

Please keep in mind that at a red light, unless posted, it is still legal to turn on red AFTER coming to a complete stop and it is safe to do so.
